We all want to help save the environment in some way but the majority of us don’t have the time to join major environmental campaigns. However, if all we did some of these small things listed below, we could be all be instrumental in saving our planet.

1. We should take our own bags when we do shopping at the supermarket. Trillions of bags are manufactured every year worldwide and that’s a lot of waste so bringing in our own bags when we do the shopping would reduce this waste.

Now teaching your kids rules in the playground is quite a hard subject to tackle because you can be too strict and limit their fun in the playground. On the other hand you don’t want them to come to any harm due to any mischievous antics.

Some general tips before they actually leave the house include ensuring your child wears sun screen so they don’t get sun burnt when it’s hot. Also ensure they aren’t wearing clothes with ties or draw strings that could get caught on any playground equipment. The same would apply for necklaces, as they could get caught and strangle a child.

The use of recycled rubber granules as mulch is a relatively new option for landscapers. When it was first introduced on the scene there were lots of questions surrounding it’s toxicity, flammability, ability to stop weeds and the fact that it still decomposes. Also when people where spreading this rubber mulch they would get nasty pricks from the steel wire still in the rubber mulch.

When we think about our children, do we really think about what we are leaving them?

Sure we do, but the majority of us are only thinking in material terms by building up our wealth, so it can be theirs when we die.

Really we should start thinking about how and where they are going to live. Our earth is damaged but it’s not beyond repair yet. What we do environmentally wise will affect our children and their children.

Can any of us really imagine the amount of tires that are used and then discarded on a daily basis?

When you think of the amount of cars, airplanes, trucks and other types of vehicles on our planet today, then you should be quite astounded when you think of the amount of the tires used on these vehicles.
