When we look at the things that recycled rubber is being used for today, there are quite a lot of them, but are there enough?

There are things like rubber mulch, containers (large and small), rubber compounds to cover playgrounds and other types of flooring and many more things, but are we really using recycled rubber to its full potential?

We could have furniture that is partly made from recycled rubber, as long as it is coated with a flame retardant substance. What about using it in the stage building industry? These are just two ideas that I’m sure would need a lot more thought and would probably never happen, but why are they not worth thinking about? Read the rest of this entry »

Accidents will always happen in and around the garden when children are playing, after all we can’t keep an eye on them all of the time, we are only human. One of the things we can do though is make sure that where they play is as safe as it can be.

Rubber mulch is usually considered for use just around the plants, and it is very good for this. It lasts a lot longer than wooden mulch, does not give the plants fungal diseases and does not smell horrible when it gets wet. Read the rest of this entry »

Going green in the garden can be done in a number of ways. You can consider using rubber mulch, not putting any chemicals down, but using natural means of looking after your garden and getting rid of pests.

When you think about it, any little contribution that you can do that helps the environment is great, as if everyone did their little bit for the environment, the world would be a better place, not just for us, but our children and our children’s children. Read the rest of this entry »
