Updating the look of your garden need not be expensive. If you’re a super gardener, then you can do it yourself without spending much time or much money on additional plants and tools. On the other hand, if you’re a hopeless gardener, then you don’t need to hire a landscaper (again) to change your garden’s look a little. You can do it yourself without killing everything you touch.

Below are 3 garden make-over tips that gives your garden a fresh new look without being time-consuming and expensive.

1. Replace wood mulch with rubber mulch

It may be argued that wood mulchis organic, therefore healthy for the soil. However, being that wood mulch is organic, it also rots. And rotten wood mulch encourages fungal and bacterial growth which ends up being harmful for your plants. Oh, and rotting wood mulch smells awful. (more…)

Bring your house party outdoors. Make good use of the space in your garden, backyard, or the concrete space just outside your garage.

Just thinking about the preparation details and having to deal with the post-party mess could make house parties sound like a bad idea. With rubber mulch, decorating will be a breeze and cleaning up won’t be as difficult.

Below are 3 tips to make preparations no sweat, so you could have parties and dinners as often as you like.

1. Greet guests with a “manicured lawn”

Rubber mulch is brilliant for landscaping. Rubber mulch doesn’t rot, so you won’t have to worry about funky smells and plant diseases. There are a lot of colors to choose from to complement your landscape. (more…)

It’s great if your children are active in community sports or are part of athletic teams in school. Although they are given the time to formally train, children usually get jitters before a competition like pro athletes do. They’d like to practice as much as they can. It is a good idea to provide them with a venue to train at home.

This way, you can supervise them, encourage them, and even train with them—it’s also like having a playground at home. Bringing training to your backyard can even encourage the rest of your family to lead a healthy lifestyle. (more…)

It is a great idea to introduce the idea of holding a rubber drive. The results are tangible things that the children can appreciate. You won’t have to force them to join your next rubber drive.

Have students collect as much recyclable rubber as they can: old tires, balled up rubber bands, and even old windshield wipers. In fact, inappropriate footing can cause a horse to develop various bone disorders and joint problems.

That is why it is important to provide proper footing for horses. If you are a horse lover, this would mean giving your horses the best quality of care available. But if you are an equestrian, this could spell the difference between victory and defeat.

Figure out the best footing for your horse
On deciding which footing would best benefit your horse, 2 things must be considered: the type of surface on which the horse undergoes training, and impact resistance. (more…)

However, it does not mean that those who were not gifted with excellent gardening skills do not appreciate a pretty garden. In fact, most of them want a beautiful garden, minus the rigorous labor that comes with it.

If you are one of those garden-fanatics, do not despair.
Consider this: out of the 71.9 million new automobiles that were sold worldwide, around 20 million or 28 percent were sold in the United States and Canada. That’s more cars sold compared to Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa combined. And while it’s true that the prohibitive cost of fuel has slightly put a slump on the automotive industry in the U.S., the car-loving culture of Americans is still something that is embedded in its culture.

And I don’t need to tell you about the harmful effects of improperly disposed tires to one’s health and the environment. Although numerous steps have been taken by the government to reduce the ill effects of this dangerous practice, it is still seen as a big problem. And you may not know it, but there is actually an emerging advocacy group focused solely against burning of tires and consequently recycling them to put to good use. With the rate that it’s going, some states still have too many tires burned systematically in plants. (more…)
