Military Conditioning Away from Camp

The foundations of one’s strength, speed, and endurance should never be forgotten, as these are the reasons you may still be physically able at age 50 and beyond.
Hard work begins on day one, and it should be continued until it is already physically impossible for one to continue living the lifestyle.
Conditioning is a basic training technique that every member of the military goes through. It strengthens both the physical and mental aspect, holistically improving the soldier. Below are 2 tips on continuing conditioning training even when you’re away from the camp.
1. Be creative
All start with set drills that they do over and over again. After several years in the army, your body should have already become stronger than when you began. At this point, it’s okay to be a little creative when you’re conditioning on your own.
Use trees, walls, railings—things conveniently found near your location. The principle is simple: know which muscles you want to work, and find the movement that will work them. Using your body weight as resistance could help you in real situations, as opposed to limiting yourself with weights.
Creativity comes with responsibility. Make sure that your environment is safe. Grassy areas are ideal, although they might not be available to the public at all times. You can go to the local playground. Most playgrounds are already covered with rubber mulch flooring that keeps children safe from impact injuries. You can use the facilities for your workout without compromising safety.
2. Remember to work both sides
Most people have a dominant side, and unconsciously, most of us favor our dominant side. It could be because they respond to workouts better, or simply because they perform better.
However, actual challenges and obstacles will demand both sides of your body to perform. It is important to give both sides of your body equal amount of attention. Compensate for your weaker side by doing more reps. However, this doesn’t mean that you should neglect your dominant side just because it’s already strong.
