Does Your Mulch Smell?

February 25th, 2008

Have you ever wandered down the local neighborhood and thought, what on earth is that smell? It smells like someone has just had a crash with a silage container. You know you are not walking down a small road in the countryside (you’re in your local neighborhood), where some farmer is doing the muck spreading behind the hedge you have just walked past.

The smell is invading your nostrils and reminds you of a dodgy trip in the car you went on with your parents when you where young. As the strong odor hits the back of your throat, the memory of being sick in the car, because of that exact same smell rushes through your mind.

Then you remember what it is that is causing this pungent irritation, it’s them annoying people who think they are doing the world a favor (which they are not) by using real wood that has been shoved through a machine that kicks out even more toxicity than an industrial chimney. Of course this is my own opinion, but have these people not heard of recycling or something? Do they not know that we have the perfect answer in the form of rubber mulch?

Rubber mulch has no disgusting odor and will not kill your plants, because it is growing its own type of toxic organic mould. Rubber mulch lasts a lot longer than any other form of mulch on the market. Another brilliant point about rubber mulch is that it looks amazing in whatever color you choose to have it in.

Rubber mulch does not harm animals or insects, which can benefit your plants and keep your garden healthy. It can’t set alight and when you use rubber mulch you know you are doing something good for the environment. So if you ever think of going down the mulch road yourself, then rubber mulch is the best way to go.
