Add Rubber Mulch to Your Garden – It Doesn’t Smell!

When the frosts come and ice or snow hit our gardens hard, there are all sorts of things that we have been told we can do to protect our plants. This is all good and well, but what about protecting the soil around our plants.
More and more people are turning to mulch, for a protective layer around their plants. Nowadays, the aim for most people is to be as friendly to the environment as possible, and that is a good thing. But when you get chemicals sprayed onto things like wooden mulch, so they last a bit longer, or so that they don’t pass on fungal infections to the plants, don’t you think that is defeating the object?
Organic mulch they call it, well of course its organic it’s made from plants, but it’s not very organic to dip it in some chemicals, that will kill off nearly everything that crawls over it, make it smell like a thousand hamsters have peed over it for a year, and infect almost all the plants it comes into contact with.
So give the creepy crawlies a break, after all they help your plants as well. Let your nostrils take in the perfume of the plants and use rubber mulch. Rubber mulch is good for the environment because it doesn’t need to be drenched in chemicals, it is made from recycled rubber tires, so you are doing your bit to get rid of unwanted waste and it doesn’t smell.
Rubber mulch will not harm your plants in any way shape or form. It looks good, and comes in a variety of colors, so you can be a bit more adventurous than the non users of rubber mulch, who stick to their brown dull borders.
Rubber mulch will survive through the harshest of weathers and keep your garden looking good all year round, so don’t go chemical organic, go recycled rubber mulch.
