Rubber Mulch in Garden Design
March 9th, 2008
Garden design has come along way from the old front lawn, to creating an oasis of relaxation in the front and rear of our premises. We have stepping stone pathways, gravel and even decking, to make our garden environment more enjoyable.
We also look for more ideas from around the world to give different contrasts to our gardens. For example, we have taken the idea of minimalism from the Japanese environment in the garden, and used it with the traditional English garden to create something that is relaxing, peaceful and beautiful all at the same time.
Another thing that has come about, is the fact that a lot of us do not have the time for our gardens so we are looking for ways to take the time factor out of more gardening work, so we can relax and enjoy our environment in and around our garden.
Let’s for the moment go back to the pathways, which run through and around our gardens. Sometimes it is hard to make these look good with the resources available, so instead of going for the more conventional slabs of cold, slippery stone or the gravel that gets kicked into the flower beds, making them look untidy. What about using granulated rubber mulch? You won’t have to worry about children falling and hurting themselves, you can even kneel on the rubber mulch whilst tending to the gardens needs.
Everyone can have a different color of rubber mulch in there gardens, even vary the colors of rubber mulch in their own garden, so they have not just a plant based variation of color. The possibilities when it comes to using rubber mulch in different ways in the garden environment are endless. So don’t just think about the old stick in the mud ways for your garden, look to the future, help your environment and bound along the rubber mulch route.
